Fagundez, F - #14, joined the Revolution in 2011. To date has played in 12 regular season games with 4 goals and 1 assist. born in Uruguay, Fagundez moved to Massachusetts when he was 5 years old. In 2009 Fagundez joined the NE Revolution Academy. 2010 the Revs signed Fagundez making him their first home-grown player. he made his professional debut onApril 26, 2011 in the Rev's 3-2 victory over DC United in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament...

The game was off to a controlled start and the first real scoring opportunity came in the 17th minute, when the Revolution converted their first shot of the game. Right back Jay Heaps advanced down the right side combining a give-and-go with Jose Cancela, Heaps continued his run unopposed until finally driving a shot into the box, which was redirected in mid-air by Fabbro past MetroStars keeper Jonny Walker...

The MetroStars had difficulty getting past the Revolution defense, which limited the Metros opportunities to long distance shooting, never threatening keeper Adin Brown...

in the 65th minute, the Revolution added another goal, Cancella sent a pass to Fabbro, inside the box, where he sent a heel pass back toward the top of the box. Pat Noonan ran onto the ball and turned on it, curling the ball low inside the right post for the 2-0 score.

Nov 9 at Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, Ma...the Revolution and Metros would play in a 1-1 draw, advancing the Revolution into the next round on aggregate score of 3-1...

The Revolution would lose to the Chicago Fire in the Conference finals, who would eventually lose to the San Jose Earthquakes for the MLS Championship...

2003.09.13 MetroStars v NE Revolution, Giants Stadium

Revolution rookie forward Pat Noonan scored his fourth and fifth goals of the season as the Revolution defeated the MetroStars 2-1. The game was played in heavy rains during the first half, in which the Revolution dominated play, with both an effective attacking game and a strong defensive performance. The Revolution outshot the Metros 10-2 in the first half, with the MetroStars failing on get a shot on goal. The Revolution attack was led by Noonan, Jose Cancela and Shalrie Joseph...

Steve Jolley gave the Metros hope by reducing the deficit by 1 goal in the 81st minute. Mike Magee took the corner kick from the right side, defender Eddie Pope flicked the ball to the far post, where Jolley was able to collect his third goal of the season... Unfortunately it was not enough for the MetroStars to overcome a stronger Revolution team..

The MetroStars earned their firs victory over the NE revolution in 11 matches. The Revs took a 2-0 lead within 15 minutes of the start of the game. The Metros scored in the 30th minute on a Mike Magee penalty kick, when Ricardo Clark was pulled down by Joe Franchino.

Just before the half ended Magee chipped the ball into the box, where Eddie Gaven blasted the ball into the net to tie the match.

In te 69th minute Cornell Glenn ran onto a John Wolyniec through ball beating an off-balanced Matt Reis, the Revolution keeper for the game winning goal...

The MetroStars continued their dominance over the Revolution winning a 7-goal thriller, 4-3...

Former Revolution player Andy Williams scored the 1st goal in the 25th minute, blasting an unstoppable right-footed drive into the top left corner of the goal, in the 25th minute of play...In the 34th minute Mamdou Diallo scored on a penalty kick...

In the 41st minute Williams took a corner kick, which was cleared by the Revolution defense right to Brad Davis who shot from 20-yards out to give the Metros a 3-0 lead...

In the 43rd minute Taylor Twellman received a ball from Alex Pineda Chacon, and was able to place the ball past Tim Howard....3-1...

At the start of the second-half, Diallo caught NE keeper Juergen Sommer off guard with a shot from the right corner of the box...The 4-1 lead would only last minutes as New England produced two goals within a 4-minute time period... Steve Raltson, MLS assist leader, blasted a 20-yard left-footed shot into the top left corner, followed by Hernandez taking a 35-yard one-bounce shot that skipped past Tim Howard's right hand...time ran out before New England could even the score...

2011 - DC United v NE Revolution

We had always spoken of going to DC (4hr drive) to see a United game, but never really had the opportunity. When a change in plans for the travel soccer team left us with planned vacation time with nowhere to go, we booked some days in DC. Luck was on our side as DC was playing a Wednesday night game against the Revolution.

DC features Chris Pontius and Charlie Davies (great to see him back in the game) on most of their promotions around the stadium. We also had the chance to see Dwayne DeRosario, who the Red Bull let go back in June, after picking him up in April!!! On the pro-DC webpage The Viper's Nest the cited they the trade was very-one sided in favor of DC, and that the Red Bull and United are hated-rivals. We wish DeRo luck with DC and a continued great season...

A second half goal from Revolutions Stephen McCarty and the great play of Rev keeper Matt Reis was all the Revolution needed to defeat the DC United 1-0. After the strong first half in which the United constantly tested Reis, the goal from McCarty shocked the crowd and the United. DC continued to play a strong game, but could not put the ball past Reis...

Fred, Brazilian midfielder, played in his final game with DC, moving on to the Australian Melbourne Heart. Fred entered the game as a substitute in the 63rd minute. His final game with DC was scheduled to be the game before, but stayed for one last chance to play in RFK stadium before the home crowd. Best of luck in Australia!

In a scoreless first half, the MetroStars created more chances than the Revolution but neither team could find the back of the net. In the second half see-saw battle, the Revolution scored first on a goal from Chacon. The MetroStars would quickly come back on a goal by Rodrigo Faria. An own-goal by Llamosa of the Revolution put the Metros ahead 2-1. Clint Mathis would put the game out of reach of the Revs as the Metros maintained a 3-1 victory...
