2018 USMNT World Cup

2018 US World Cup logo as envisioned by the creators of Howler Magazine.

They offered this patch to anyone who subscribes to the magazine, so they could place this patch on any jersey to create their own nonexistent US Men's World Cup jersey.

The US Men's National Team lost to Trinidad and Tobago, 2-1 in the elimination round that knocked them out of the World Cup. The nUS had their chances, especially in the final minutes, when a Clint Dempsey shot hit the woodwork. A goal that would have tied the game and sent the US to the competition. But it did not happen. A result that is embarrassing to any fan of the USMNT, as the team has shown little improvement over the years.

At least we can still poke a little fun at ourselves...

2015 MLS digital cards

Howler magazine and Topps have designed digital trading cards for the 2015 MLS All-Star Game to be played in Denver on July 29.. The series of digital trading card become available on Sunday July 26 on iTunes and Goggle Play. The cards feature the artwork of Meen Choi, Chris Moran and Kyle Stecker...

These cards will also be available in physical form and are being distributed by Howler at the MLS All-Satr Game in Denver...

Just received my copy of the first edition of Howler a magazine about soccer. The magazine is huge measuring 10 x 12". The cover features a frenzied portrait of Jurgen Klinsman, by Diego Patino, after the US defeat of Mexico...

Howler is being funded through Kickstarter until June 29 to raise funds for the publication of the magazine. One of the gifts for donating are Wayne Rooney or Clint Dempsey paper dolls.  Rooney is shown above as it was on the Kickstarter site. Since I have made a donation I look forward to receiving  both paper dolls and will publish the Clint Dempsey paper doll when I receive it.
