I was lucky to attend one game of the World Cup, June 25 at Giants Stadium. It would be the first time in World cup play that an African nation and a Middle East nation played against each other... Saudi Arabia would win the contest 2-1...
From my view the crowd seemed to be largely Moroccan, although flags were flying from every nation possible...Their was excitement in the crowd as the Moroccan fans danced before the game and the Saudi fans danced at the end...Not rooting either team made the game extremely enjoyable and it became easy to feel the excitement of the fans...The music, the dancing, the chanting...I had never experienced anything of this before at a sporting event.
